27th January 2007

It's yet another working day for me. Didn't work on Thursday and Friday cos I was too tired to work. Didn't really feel like working today also. But if I don't work, where will the money come from?

Badminton session yesterday. It was fun! My arm didn't hurt as much as last week. Hahahah. After we ended our session, this group of middle-aged men came to play. They played like pros! One of them came to talk to us and wanted to play with us someday. He is so modest! He said he didn't know how to play badminton! OMFG! That is so not true!

Camii seems to be with someone new. That's so fast lah. I guess I was just something for her to waste her time with. Maybe I should forget about her and find someone new already.

Rah!!!!!

Hmmm, shall blog about something else already. No more love life! Cyrus got fired from his job. He made Jasmine (our boss) lose $5000. I feel bad about it lah. After all, I was the one who reccommended Cyrus to this job. Now that Cyrus had lost his job, we have a vacancy here at Laissez Faire Cafe! The rate is $5 per hour. You have to be able to work weekdays morning. Hah!

Working at the cafe is quite okay, except for the cameras, the closing of the shop and dealing with some stupid customers (especially the bangalas).

That shall be all for today! TATA~

Misses

I was reading through the emails that you sent me. And I was wondering, did we really drift apart? Or was it because you didn't love me anymore and that you used the drifting apart as an excuse?

I miss those times when you would ask me about school and when I'm working, we would communicate through emails. You told me that you had a thing for long emails so I tried my best to add nonsensical stuffs into my email to you. You told me that you love poetry, so I wrote a poem for you. Though I really didn't write a poem on purpose. It just seemed like a poem.

And when your parents found our about us, I tried to be understanding. Though I whined and complained about it. I was fine with us not meeting so regularly. I thought that this would let us cherish the relationship more as we are not able to meet each other so often. When you told me that you wanted me to go out with you for your Chinese New Year shopping, I was looking forward to it. Now, I think that trip is cancelled.

All in all, I miss you.

21st January 2007

Is having a girlfriend very important? I was walking with Terence to Hougang CC on Friday when he said that he envied those with girlfriends. He didn't know that my girlfriend or rather, my ex-girlfriend had broken up with me the day before. I felt a pang in my heart when he said the word girlfriend.

According to him, having a girlfriend is good because you'll know that there's someone out there thinking about you. Well, I know it's good to know that. So right now, I know that there's nobody thinking about me. Maybe other than my parents. Hahahah.

Oh yes, Rahman sent me home on Friday. IN HIS BIKE! And in case you were wondering what kind of helmet I was wearing, don't bother asking. I won't tell you. Hah! I was really scared and nervous. But after a while, kinda got used to it. Adrenaline rushing through when he makes a turn and accerlerates. Woah! That was one hell of a ride!

DPA Test on Tuesday. I am going to fail that. 100%!

Break Up

I'm definitely cursed! Someone come and save me!

I just received an email from Camii. And this is what it says:

hello! school's okay, how was yr day? at work?
i've got something to discuss with you, and i've no idea how to tell you.
but honestly, i think we're drifting apart, and i feel that we're both jus
wasting our time on this. im really sorry for leading you on, but you've
made me experience a miracle that i never thought could possible occur.
you're great, and i mean it. i hope you take good care of yourself, im sorry
for not being able to celebrate our ' 1 mth, then 2 mth and soon it will be
one year'. but then again, i really did love you.

for the last time, -major hugs- muacks.

with love,
Camii

With that, she ended the relationship. Although our relationship was only for a short period of time, I truly loved her. Maybe we did really drift apart, maybe we were really wasting our time, at least we tried.

To Camii:
I hope that one day, you will find someone who will love you like I do. Or maybe more. And by then, your parents will be able to accept you for who you are. I don't know whether you really loved me or was just leading me on. But I'm happy that we got together. I just want you to know that the time that we spent together will always be remembered in my heart. And for the last time, I love you.

It's yet another tiring day. Woke up early today for school. Amazing! I thought I was going to reach school later than Jon and company. However, I took the same bus as them! Hah! Finally!

Accompanied Jon and Terence to Cuppage after school to have their hair cut. Their hairstyles turned out pretty good. And it was raining after we left Cuppage! ARGH! Why does it always rain when I didn't bring an umbrella?! So we were practically running around town today, trying to avoid the rain and all. And I was supposed to start work at 4.30 today but no, in the end, I started work at 6.30. There goes my $10.

Ivan is coming down to the internet cafe to visit me. Actually, I forced him to come. Hah! And I have to treat him to supper! Idiot! Hmmm, didn't have enough for duck rice. So I'm just going to buy him duck porridge. It's the same thing actually. There's rice there. Hahahah. I'm going to have supper now, not going to wait for Ivan, the idiot.

17th January 2007

I didn't blog yesterday. Laptop wasn't on my bed when I came home. Apparently my dad took it to his office for his work. I had the choice of using the computer but I was to lazy to use it. Hah!

Finally got my badminton racket yesterday. It was a tiring day I tell you. We were walking from Bugis to Bras Basah, then Bras Basah to Bugis, then Bugis to Terence's uncle's cafe, then to Bras Basah to Suntec City and then finally we went home. I spent alot of money yesterday. Bought a racket, paid for Terence's racket first and bought Gilmore Girls Season 1 DVD. Can't wait to have enough money to buy Season 2.

Well, I didn't go to school today. Firstly, it was because I couldn't wake up. Secondly, I'm not going for S&W or Communication Skills so why bother just going for Circuit Design? Thirdly, I'm really tired and I had this headache. Jon says that my posts are long, so I shall keep this post short. Tata.

15 January 2007

It has been quite a normal day for me today. I think waking up late has become a habit for me. As usual, I woke up late today again. Had to get my father to fetch me to school. Thankfully, I reached school on time. Phase test was hard. I had help from Zani, Chee Chow and Derek. Although Zani did my circuit board for me, I changed it for Derek's board as he was done with his test. I was totally racking my brains! I need to listen more in class.

Went to Tampanies mall with Chee Chow, Terence, Jonathan and Andrew after school to catch Death Note 2. I had to treat them to the movie. Nevermind, as long as everyone is happy, I'm happy too. Took a train to work. MISSED MY STOP! Thanks to Terence and Andrew! Talking and talking. This expat was laughing at me. Moron!

Stopped at Novena and took a cab to work. A waste of money! Cut my pinky when I was closing the toilet door just now. Painful! Has been bleeding non stop for about 5 minutes already.

Saw this joke in jokediary. Damn funny. Shall share it here.

Recently, when I went to McDonald's I saw on the menu that you could have an order of 6, 9 or 12 Chicken McNuggets. I asked for a half dozen mcnuggets. "We don't have half dozen nuggets," said the teenager at the counter. "You don't?" I replied. "We only have six, nine, or twelve, "was the reply. "So I can't order a half dozen nuggets, but I can order six?"That's right." So I shook my head and ordered six McNuggets.

I was checking out at the local Wal-Mart with just a few items and the lady behind me put her things on the belt close to mine. I picked up one of those "dividers" that they keep by the cash register and placed it between our things so they wouldn't get mixed. After the girl had scanned all of my items, she picked up the "divider", looking it all over for the bar code so she could scan it. Not finding the bar code she said to me, "Do you know how much this is?" I said to her "I've changed my mind, I don't think I'll buy that today." She said "OK," and I paid her for the things and left. She had no clue to what had just happened.

I recently saw a distraught young lady weeping beside her car. Do you need some help?" I asked. She replied, "I knew I should have replaced the battery to this remote door unlocker. Now I can't get into my car. Do you think they (pointing to a distant convenience store) would have a battery to fit this?" "Hmmm, I dunno. Do you have an alarm, too?" I asked. "No,just this remote thingy," she answered, handing it and the car keys to me. As I took the key and manually unlocked the door, I replied, "Why don't you drive over there and check about the batteries. It's a long walk."

Several years ago, we had an Intern who was none too swift. One day she was typing and turned to a secretary and said, "I'm almost out of typing paper. What do I do?" "Just use copier machine paper," the secretary told her. With that, the intern took her last remaining blank piece of paper, put it on the photocopier and proceeded to make five "blank" copies.

Police in Radnor, Pa., interrogated a suspect by placing a metal colander on his head and connecting it with wires to a photocopy machine. The message"He's lying" was placed in the copier, and police pressed the copy button each time they thought the suspect wasn't telling the truth. Believing the "lie detector" was working, the suspect confessed.

I cut it short, cos I didn't really understand what the last part was about. If you want the full joke, go the the web. It's in my link.

Tests

Tests

Monday is tomorrow. I'm going to have a phase test tomorrow. Don't ask me why is it called a phase test. I have no idea too. I wonder why every school (well, not EVERY school) has tests and exams. Besides testing us on our knowledge on that particular topic or subject. I'm thinking that some sicko thought that it was funny to see students stressing over tests and exams.

I don't mind if it's an English test or exam. English is my favourite subject. But Maths, Science and Chinese? That's only primary school. And when you get to secondary school, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, History, Geography and lots more comes to you. Why can't it be like primary school? Where English, Maths, Science and Chinese are the only subject we need to think about? I wish every school in the future will be like Republic Poly, where daily work will determine your results. No tests or exams required.

Why didn't I get enough points to go to Republic Poly, you may ask. Well, the answer is simple. I didn't study hard enough. HAH!

To: My baby
10 more days, 10 more days and it will soon be our 1 month anniversary. I doubt that we will be able to celebrate it though. Was glad to hear that your mom talked to you. It means that things are going well for you. I can't wait for Friday to come, where we would finally get to hang out together. It's something I've thought about for 2 weeks. Time passes really fast. Soon, we will be celebrating not only our 1 month, it will be 2 months, 3 months or even 1 year. Whatever it is, I just wish you were with me.

Well, I have to get back to work. Although I'm just sitting here surfing the net. Can't go to MSN cos it's not allowed. There's no JavaScript too. Well, shall talk about this another time. Oh yes, can someone give me a morning call tomorrow? I don't want to be late for school. Or else, Mr Tan will really be after my head!

Ah yes, almost forgot. I have to say a huge thank you to Jonathan and Terence. For giving me surprise visit yesterday. Thanks for coming even though I didn't return your call and message. I was really surprised.

Band

Band

I was looking around my house today and there it was, sitting in the corner of my living room. My dad bought it 2 years ago as a reward for my ‘O’ levels results. It was a deal. If I were to pass my ‘O’ levels, then he would have to buy that for me. By that, I meant the electric drum set in my living room.

When it just arrived at my house, I couldn’t wait to play it. I was so excited to have the drum set at home. OMG! Finally, a drum set! I played the drums as often as I could. I didn’t care whether it was in the morning or at night. I didn’t care if the neighbours complained or called the police. I just wanted to play my drums. Nobody could stop me.

However, 2 years after it was delivered to my house. The drum set is just sitting there in the living room. Nobody touches it anymore. Nobody, except the maid (for cleaning purposes only).
Edna and I used to talk about forming a band, where I would be the drummer and she the vocalist. But then, we were still short of a guitarist, keyboard player and a bass. So we were thinking of what friend knows how to play what instrument. However, in the end, nothing was done.

As I sat there looking at my drum set, I was thinking “Why not form a band?” So now, here I am, looking people who are interested in forming a band. Doesn’t matter whether you have got any experience with joining a band. Cos I don’t. If you are interested, email me at iam.duane@gmail.com

Well, that’s all about the drum set. Things haven’t been going well for my love life. Have not seen baby for a very long time already. And our 1 month is coming soon. Judging from the situation, I don’t think we will be able to celebrate it. I have been thinking, should I give up already?

Objections from her parents are making it hard for us. Maybe it’s all my fault. If I hadn’t ask her to be mine, we wouldn’t be having this problem. I just want to be able to be by your side. My relationships haven’t been able to last after a month. Maybe it’s a curse? HAH! A curse for me to have relationships not more than a month. I hope that this will really last. I don’t think I can afford to lose her now. I love her.

PS: All I want for Christmas is you.

Birthdays

Birthdays

The new year is here. The new year means a lot of things. For me, the new year means that my birthday is coming. Hah! While poor Jon just celebrated his 18th birthday, I’m going to celebrate my 19th birthday.

When your birthday is coming, you’d be very excited and wondering what they are going to do for their birthday. I’m here thinking of not celebrating my birthday for this year. After all, I’m going to be only 19. 19 is just a number. Nothing important compared to 16, 18 or 21. When you are 15 going to 16, you’d be excited because you would be able to go to the movies rated NC16. And when you are 17 going on to 18, you’d be excited too (M18). And when you’re finally 20 going on to 21, you’d be super excited. You are finally going to be an adult. You’d be able to vote, watch R(A) movies, and probably move out from your house and stay alone. I’d probably do that.

But 19! 19 is nothing! You don’t have anything exciting to look forward too! Can’t wait to be 21. Can’t wait to move out from here to some other place. Any place but here. Here as in my house now. Moving out would probably mean that I might have to be independent. Earn more money to get the necessary stuffs.

Well, I don’t think I’m going to celebrate my birthday this year. But that doesn’t mean that you don’t have to give me presents.

My wish list for this year:
1) VAIO laptop (I’d be ecstatic if someone gave me this!)
2) SONY cyber shot camera
3) A pair of nice shoes (SHOES not high heels, flip flops or slippers. I don’t mind getting shoes even though it’s considered not good to give people shoes)
4) An external hard disk, probably 100GB (It feels weird to have this in my wish list, but that’s what I want.)
5) A nice shirt (T-shirt, Polo tee or a shirt will do.)
6) Wallet (No billabong please.)
7) I almost forgot! A sling bag!

That should be all. If someone would to get me something from this list, I’d be very happy. Thank you! Now, I’m going to get back to work. Cleaning the cake display isn’t that easy after all.

End of Holidays

End Of Holidays

Well, today is the last day of my school holidays. Should I say I missgoing to school or should I say I wish that the holidays were longer?I mean yea, I miss going to school. But if it was still the holidays,I might be out there earning more money. Hah!

The other day, I was in the bus 166 (on the way home). There was thiscouple sitting behind me (I think they were studying overseas, mostprobably America). They were discussing about their schoolmates whowere from the countryside and how hard they were trying to fit it. Andthey just couldn't stop insulting them. I'm gonna name the schoolmateZ. So apparently Z had a problem fitting in with the otherschoolmates. So he wore baggy clothes and all the stuffs that hethought that was hip. But he still couldn't fit it.

So eventually, he used money to get his circle of friends. Treatingthem to drinks and meal. So the girl behind me was saying that theso-called friends hang out with Z was because that they get freedrinks. But actually whenever she sees him, she feels like slappinghim. I was like WTF?! Give the poor guy a break! He just wants to fitit. I hope he's doing well over there now. Maybe one day he will finally see how superfical his friends are.
