Birthdays
Birthdays Labels: Birthdays
The new year is here. The new year means a lot of things. For me, the new year means that my birthday is coming. Hah! While poor Jon just celebrated his 18th birthday, I’m going to celebrate my 19th birthday.
When your birthday is coming, you’d be very excited and wondering what they are going to do for their birthday. I’m here thinking of not celebrating my birthday for this year. After all, I’m going to be only 19. 19 is just a number. Nothing important compared to 16, 18 or 21. When you are 15 going to 16, you’d be excited because you would be able to go to the movies rated NC16. And when you are 17 going on to 18, you’d be excited too (M18). And when you’re finally 20 going on to 21, you’d be super excited. You are finally going to be an adult. You’d be able to vote, watch R(A) movies, and probably move out from your house and stay alone. I’d probably do that.
But 19! 19 is nothing! You don’t have anything exciting to look forward too! Can’t wait to be 21. Can’t wait to move out from here to some other place. Any place but here. Here as in my house now. Moving out would probably mean that I might have to be independent. Earn more money to get the necessary stuffs.
Well, I don’t think I’m going to celebrate my birthday this year. But that doesn’t mean that you don’t have to give me presents.
My wish list for this year:
1) VAIO laptop (I’d be ecstatic if someone gave me this!)
2) SONY cyber shot camera
3) A pair of nice shoes (SHOES not high heels, flip flops or slippers. I don’t mind getting shoes even though it’s considered not good to give people shoes)
4) An external hard disk, probably 100GB (It feels weird to have this in my wish list, but that’s what I want.)
5) A nice shirt (T-shirt, Polo tee or a shirt will do.)
6) Wallet (No billabong please.)
7) I almost forgot! A sling bag!
That should be all. If someone would to get me something from this list, I’d be very happy. Thank you! Now, I’m going to get back to work. Cleaning the cake display isn’t that easy after all.
